  1. These people are nothing short of amazing. Saturday night northbound toward Albany on the NYS Thruway, I lost the entire right front wheel of my Ford Ranger. Apparently, Perry’s has the contract for the area. The tow truck driver was polite, sympathetic and just a nice guy. Being from out of the area and not wanting to pay a massive towing charge home I decided to have it taken to their shop. He told me..”I am not a mechanic, but our shop can fix this and I am confident that you will be happy. I’m sure they will call you mid-morning on Monday, if you don’t hear from us, call around noon”. Well, what an understatement he made. They were even better than he said!!! They called early on Monday, explained the damage, told me to sit tight that they wanted to explore pricing on the parts needed and that they would get this taken care of.
The owner, Pete, stayed in touch and kept me in the loop RE: parts, cost etc. They are simply incredible. I never write comments about any business because there hasn’t been a business that has impressed me like this one. If I didn’t live 75 miles away, I would never use another garage. This is the only place I would go.

These people are just decent, caring, competent and very fair human beings. I cannot give a greater compliment.

  2. On Saturday August 22, 2020, I had the bad luck to have a blowout of my rear driver’s side tire while driving on the NY Thruway. I was towing a trailer and had my daughter following me as we moved her from MD to VT. I called into the NY Thruway Emergency number and was immediately assured that a tow truck would be sent to my location within 30 minutes. In less than that time, Billy arrived from Perry’s Service and quickly evaluated the situation. I was nervous to drive on the blown out tire (so we could move the car to a safe location to either change the tire or tow it to be fixed), but Billy assured me that he wouldn’t have me do this if it wasn’t safe. Once we were in the safer service area (and off the Thruway), he very kindly reviewed my options for fixing the tire, going over costs and his suggestions for the best way to handle everything. He then called an area tire dealer and arranged for the flat to be repaired there. We arrived at Kingston Tires about 25 minutes before their closing time, but everyone there was also super helpful and kind. I REALLY appreciated the great service that Billy and Perry’s provided to me that day. Of course I would have rather not had the blowout happen in the first place, but I was very glad that day to have Billy and Perry’s available to help me. Everything went so smoothly and efficiently and Billy set my mind at ease during a very stressful situation. Thank You!

  3. Your company was my savior on Columbus Day! I was traveling by myself from upstate back to NJ & as I attempted to depart the Ulster rest stop my brakes gave out. Your truck arrived in a very short time after I called AAA. Your driver was wonderful!! On arrival at your shop, the repairs were made in a very reasonable time at a very reasonable rate. I was able to continue my trip home safely. Thank you!!! If I lived in your area you would be on the top of my recommendation list!

  4. Dear Owner/Proprietor,

We find it important to take the time to acknowledge the professionalism and empathy that Billy provided us on Monday, January 17, 2022, around 4:45 pm. After calling 911 because we were completely dead on the side of the New York State Thruway for almost 30 minutes, the State Police dispatched an officer to sit behind us due to the fact that we had absolutely no power for 4-ways or any other power or engine source. It was a completely dangerous situation. They also requested your company to come to the scene.

We were pulling a snowmobile trailer that we just purchased with our sleds inside. In addition, the bed of our truck was packed for our trip, and we had a dog and cat inside our truck. Billy was extremely amazing!! He had a great deal to risk not only putting our truck on the flatbed on the side of the crazy busy but also hooking our trailer to the hitch to make sure we could bring it with us. We needed to get a vehicle, as we own a business that we needed to be available for on Tuesday. Billy was in route, with only a few minutes to spare to get us to the Kingston Enterprise. We were so close to the cut-off, but he reassured us that he would get us there HOWEVER, even BETTER, Billy asked us, “What about renting a Uhaul?” He stated that they are open until 6om (leaving us with plenty of time to get there compared to the 5:20 pm time of Enterprise). He mentioned that we could probably rent a truck with a hitch to tow our new trailer home. We would have NEVER thought of that, and he knew right where the Uhaul of Kingston was located on the way to Chevy. He dropped Lorraine off to get the truck, and we (Billy and Ronald) continued on to bring our truck and trailer to the Romeo Chevy Service Center in Kingston.

Long story short, Billy is a wonderful person and a very valuable employee to your business. His personality is AWESOME!! And his willingness to help others in a dire situation shows true empathy that most people lack nowadays. Honestly, he should be considered for a position that allows him to utilize these skills beyond his responsibilities for towing and caring for people’s vehicles.

We are hoping that our letter will resonate with the value of true care and customer service throughout your company. Billy was our hero that day! He deserves accolades!! Owning our own business and getting home so we didn’t lose money (and didn’t have to stay in a hotel in Kingston either), was EXTREMELY important and we are equally grateful. Please take the time to recognize Billy’s accomplishments, as we are sure that most people he has positively impacted have not taken the time to write you a letter.

Billy, you Rock!! Thank you so much for making everything work out in an emergency situation.
